Automatic Image Optimization with Hazel and ImageOptim

Autos. Automatos. Automation. There are several ways automation can be executed. One of the more notable uses is the mundane but very necessary need to optimize images. If you work with images online (99.9% of you I would imagine), you know that optimizing images is a very needed task that must happen. Hell, I used to optimize images before emailing them to friends using ImageReady (ring a bell?). Nonetheless, Chris Coyier of CSS Tricks shares in a blog post a simple tool tandem to take care of said task.

Uniting the powers of all world ImageOptim and Hazel, Chris Coyier walks through some simple steps in creating a smooth sequence to help systemize the process, using the desktop as his staging area - all to optimize his images.
